But he's still my baby
I can't believe my little baby boy, will be an official high school student tommorrow. Okay, so it's techincally a 9th grade academy. As far as I'm concerned, 9th grade IS high school. He's got all his supplies organized and already decorated his notebooks with his own artwork. Why oodles for someone elses, when Wally's has no names notebooks for a nickel apeice and he can decorate them with his own artwork. I like his artwork better anyhoo. I think he is more nervous than he lets on.
I kind of had his scedule a bit messed up on back to school orientation night, but we've got it straightened out. Now I just need to back off and let go a bit. Warren asked me the other day if I thought he was incompitant or something.
Now that is very far from the truth. He is an extremely compitant teenager. But it did make me think. I do still tend to want to do for him, like get his schedule written out, show him his locker and such, like I had to when he was in elementary school. I know he is going to be fine, figuring things out for himself, but I'm a mom, mothering comes naturally to me, its letting go I have trouble with, especially after last year. He'll be a legal adult in only 3 years. I'm just trying to hang one while I can. But I think he's right, I do need to back off. I also think someday he may be grateful to have a mom who gave a damn and cared.
Speaking of growing up, somebody also seems to be having wisdom teeth issues. He says they hurt, especially when he chews, but only on one side. Just what I need more bills. (did I mention I need oral surgery for a bad back tooth. That's scheduled for the end of Septemeber. I have a over a grand in dental work I need done. Don't drink soda folks, its a lot more expensive than the initial cost, trust me).
I made minatoille, or rattatoni, take your pick. I just made it up as I went along, and it came out great. But Warren doesn't like eating it as he says it hurts his teeth. I thought it was pretty easy for teeth. I couldn't decide between rattatoille or minestroni, so I sort of combined them, sans eggplant, but with lots of other veggies, beans and pasta, and a splash of fresh squeezed lemon. We also toasted with sparkling apple juice from the discount store.
Tommorrow it's whole wheat banana blueberry pancakes (I love when good produce is on sale). I can still make his favorite breakfast and start him out right.
Other things may be looking up also. I need lots of prayers, good vibes, spells, what have you. I don't want to jinx anything yet, but I may have and end to some problems.
They grow up so fast.

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.
I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.
I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
