Wasted Days & Wasted Nights

Just a quick update. I havent' had much energy lately, but once I get started on something and declare a project, I don't stop. I finally cleaned up the kitchen and the fridge. For me that is a miracle. It still needs a lot of work, but I did get really into it. I even took the dust buster to the cereal cabinet so the rats will have to go elsewhere for breakfast (kidding, just kidding, sheesh!!). But seriously I am really tired of living in the showcase for better pigstys and stockyards. I am working on a specific plan for getting this house in shape. If I make a detailed plan and stick to it, in another few weekends this place will be ready for me to have the professional carpet cleaners come in and do every room (minus the kitchen and bathroom which have linolium flooring). I also need to keep my eyes open for a larger area rug. I am thinking of moving the one in the living room infront of the fireplace, up to my room, and putting a nicer and larger one in the living room. The current carpet in this house is a beautiful shade of light browinsh that was most definately not designed for an active house with three cats and a school age kid. Its more on the homes for anal retentive neatnick adults only type homes.

Xena was the star of the show again today. Warrens friends Andrew and Justine (two really sweet if very active kids) were over and of course right away its where She did get a little miffed last night though when Warren got a little too cuddly. They were also busy in his room playing some game, the rules for which apparently only they know. Then they decided to taste the pepper. They also "borrowed" my stereo and cranked it too full volume. If this is a warning of things to come, I am not sure I am ready. Puberty is less than 4 years away. Before I know it the evil years of Jr. Hi will be here.

I can't stay any longer. I have to pick Mike up at his new place (he hasn't moved in YET, but very soon), and then drop them off so I get three fun filled child free hours. Parents who don't appreciate kid free time, haven't been parents very long. I'd rather stay here and watch the final episode of M*A*S*H for the 15th time, but alas no!!

And on a final note, if any one out there knows anything about model railroading, specifically N scale trains please contact me. Warren got a set for Christmas and now its a drug. Remind me to "thank" my mom for that present. LOL..

oh and Thanks so much for the offer, Kat. I am seriously considering taking you up on it. I will really miss the big lug, but at least I know he will be loved and well cared for.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
