Welcome back to the Spice mines

Today marks my first official day back to the salt mines. It actually wasn't that bad. Its a lot of information to absorb, and training is going to be a major brain cramming session, but I think I am catching on pretty good already. I think I am going to like this company, though there are a few policies I am not really crazy about, I do love the fact they have a caterer in everyday for lunch. (We have to pay for what ever we want to eat, but at least its a hot meal I don't have to cook).

My brain is swimming already, I feel like I have so much information my head is going to explode. But it is nice to be tired from doing something, instead of just tired of being. After a month of not working, actually 5.5 weeks of not working, it is a little hard to get back into the swing of things. I couldnot get to sleep last night for the life of me, I was so tired I could have fallen asleep on the bus ride to work. Thank God they have a Coke/Pepsi machine.

The people are also very nice, but I don't like the idea of not having a permanent cube. It seems to inpersonal to me. But we are in the same building as the bottling plant, shipping/recieving warehouse, so as part of my float training I also get to spend two hours in the warehouse filling orders. (oh happy happy joy joy). It also looks like there may be a fairly good chance for moving up. And I can get the company brand products for cost. I don't use much but if I start using St. John's Wort again, at least I can get it cheap. Same with my echinaechea, and vitamins. At the retail store its only a 30% discount. You wouldn't believe the markup on that stuff.

Its only 9:30, but I am ready to go to sleep now. Warren fell alseep by 8:15. Poor guy he was bushed. That's the second night I let him get away with out a bath. I'm such a bad momma, but I am going to get him up early tommorrow so he can take one in the morning. That means I have to be up earlier so he has time, and hot water for his.

And tommorrow is Friday the 13th. Lets hope its not bad luck.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
