The saying is "the Lord works in mysterious ways", but lately He's been pulling a few corkers. I went to pick up Warren yesterday and check out the daycare (after school care actually since he is in 2nd grade), and it turns out they don't have room after all. (she had sent a note home with Warren when she happened to be at the school for unrelated reasons), but she has a friend and neighbor down the road who might have room. So she called her and introduced me. Warren and I walked down and it looks like we might have found the place. Warren really got along well with the kids. (she makes a living on daycare and they have 5 of their own kids ranging from about 15 year old down to 1 years old). One of the boys is also a second grader but in a different class than Warren. So he will have some one to walk with. Did I mention they also have their own mini-zoo. They have a gorgous blue-gray cat who is the most laid back kitty I've ever seen, a fish tank with several large fish, a German Shepard, a rabbit and a snake (although the snake is just temporary). I am hoping this works out. It is a true family daycare. Both K* and her husband Ja* run the place all day, so I am hoping maybe this will be the answer. Its a little pricier, but not too much. I am just not sure. Everything seems wonderful, but I am just wondering how long until Warren gets out of control and this one gets blown also.

I think I am going to see if a chart will work again. It worked for a little while before. I need something to keep him motivated. He goes thru periods where he is fine, but then something sets him off. Last night I talked to him and he said it is like they take all his straws in school and then by after school the next one is the last straw and he has used them all up. He knows he is out of control, but its like he can't stop himself. (this all sound too scarily familiar). And like I was saying and talked about when I met with the directors at FYC, the one thing that helps is if he can run laps around the track or something similiar to work off the energy in a constructive safe manner. I wonder if they have a Jr. Jr. ROTC program. LOL just kidding, but something that would run him ragged would be perfect. I can't wait till swimming lessons. Maybe the walking 5 blocks each day will help. (cross fingers and toes).

On other news, Chester kitty apparently made an escape again last night. He was there when I came home, but sometimes the door doesn't get latched all the way and he can push it open and go exploring the neighborhood. It wasn't cold last night, so hopefully he will be okay. Poor kitty all alone with no kitty nibles or nice warm toes to curl up on. On the other hand Xena was probably thrilled as normally Chester has lately taken to trying to dig under the door to get to her. I have a nice "spot" on my carpet where he has attempted to burrow under the door.

I have no plans for Easter, but I am still planning to get and Easter basket for Warren, I just need to figure out how to get it, with out him knowing till the big day. He long since stopped believing in the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause, but he still likes the fun anyway. And so do I.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
