Am I really 40?? I can't make up my mind if this is a good birthday or a bad birthday. I don't feel any older, yet I can rap my head around being half way to 80 (or that I have a 16 year old deliquent calling me Mom.) I feel like it wasn't that long ago, I was 30 and tucking said deliquent in with a bedtime story.
My mom called me at 6:18, am as I've some how developed her morning personess, something I'm still getting used to as I spent most of my life keeping vampire hours when ever I could. heck I was even born at 2:55 am (on a Sunday no less).
My brother sent me the complete set of Land of the Lost dvd's. not the Will Ferrell move I refuse to see. except for one movie, every movie of his I've seen sucked (well unless you are a 12 year old boy who like bathroom humor).
some how I came up missing $100 from this weeks check (after I cashed it, and it wasnt' the bank as it was there when they gave me my cash). I have theories but no evidence (yet). which sucks.
Mike was nice enough to get me a (new to me) bike. (paging Rod Serling, I think I hear the TZ theme). My mom sent me a card and a small check.
I went out for a sub (Erberts and Gerberts, I love their Jacob Bluefinger, sans mayo and cheese). I'm catching up on some internet stuff, and I'm not sure what else I am going to do. My biggest self splurge has been a subscription to Vegetarian Times. I also made some Rattatoille (I only got B's and C's in French, so my spelling is a bit off, and I'm feeling lazy). I was pretty good, but a little over done. The fresh basil also helped. As did the piece of baklava I got at Tochi. (the Middle East's gift to Pastries (baklava, not Tochi).
I'll probably go out and spend some me time and than come home to savor a mint chocolate chip, Tofutti Cutie (think vegan ice cream sandwich).
Work is still work, but I did get to duck out early, as they give every employee one hour off early (paid) for their birthday. You have to take it on your b'day, or the first work day after if you are off that day).
Wednesday is the company picnic which should be a hoot, I dont' normally stay long, though sometimes its fun to see SchizoGirl (former super, with a Sybil-disabilty, I swear. Other coworkers have said the same thing), though hopefully given that she just had a baby about 3 weeks ago, she will be gone, or at least abstaining).
I'm hoping that now that I seem to be somewhat comming out of my funk (upping the meds and taking my anti-anxiet pills a bit more often seems to help,as does sunlight). I'll come and log on more often so I can try to catch up on what everyone is up to. I miss checking on all of you every day.

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.
I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.
I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
