"I"m wearing so many cotton drawers my thights don't know each other" Henry Blake M*A*S*H

It wasn't quite that bad in most places, that was mostly as a result of the wind. It was however nasty enough. I ended up two hours late for work, as they didn't plow our parking lot until after 10, so it was easier to just walk a few blocks and catch the bus. The only way out of our parking lot was by Hummer or Reindeer, the lowest drifts were about a foot or higher, over 5ft in some places. The buses started running at 9:15, so I had time to pick up a paper at the grocery store accross the street and warm up with a pumpkin latte as they have a Caribou in the store.

The main streets were all plowed and not that bad, just the parking lots and side streets that needed work.

Lucky for me I'm native to this white stuff and was prepared to dress for -40 windchill (think polar bears). Its supposed to be even colder tommorrow. Nothing like -20 on the old mercury stick to really wake you up and get the old blood flowing.

After being trapped in doors from saturday evening until Monday morning I was getting some serious cabin fever anyway.

Hope everyone else is warm and cozy. Send some heat our way if you can. We have windchill warnings all week. The high this week should be 10 if we are lucky.

I plan to go home make a pot of tea and watch the news about all the idiots who have no idea how to drive in this shit. Comming home we were almost T-boned by some high school honey who was too busy making googlie eyes and chatting on her phone to realize that her damn light was freaking red (she was making a left, we were going straight).

Winter is here, no matter what the stupid calender says.

Keep warm

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
