My baby will be 15 in one week. (okay technically one week, one day, one hour and 27 minutes, but who's counting anyway). Where has the time gone.

If all goes well he will be released on Tuesday, the 17th. This week has been one long running fest of back and forth and here and there, pick up and drop off, appts, appts appts.

On the good side he is looking for a job and there are some programs lined up to help him find a job, though I think he is greatly overestimating the amount of money a 15 year old can pull in at his first summer job. I can't wait to see his face after he gets his first check and disovers the cruelity of paying taxes and FICA. Welcome to the world, son.

I should be celebrating this week, but I'm just kind of blah. I'm not super happy, but I'm not NOT happy if that actually makes any sense. I want my son home, but it seems to me, motherhood is so much easier when there aren't any fathers involved. That is not a disparaging remark and against fathers, just one dad in particular. I was blessed with a great father, as are many people. Warren just wasn't one of them.

he's not being evil or bad, just a Schiessa Kopf, and he's driving me batty. I'd like to duct tape him to a PowerWagon and go race the Baja California. (only mostly kidding folks).

Warren is back at the ranch packing up stuff, so I can try and fit it all in the car in as few trips as possible. I have an appointment with my councilor in an hour, and that's not soon enough. (odd side note, both my pdoc and my talkdoc are named Kathy. At work I know half a dozen Patty's. I get the feeling the Patty Duke show must have been very popular at one time, given the number of Pattys/Kathys I know).

Oh and while were on a pity party roll, the damn landlord can't do something about the water draining off the building, so I have water comming up thru the floor in one corner of my room. Right now its not too bad, as we are having a sunny day between torrential down pours, but somebody better do something or I'll be treading water. The buidling does have a sump pump runing 24/7, but that doesn't do enough when the ground is saturated and the water is running down the sides of the building.

I've got to stop at the grocery before my appointment, so I'm heading off.

Hope everyone else is sunny and dry.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
