Quickie, now that D*land is cooperating

Damn groundhog. I guess I should be grateful its 30 above not 30 below, but that wind is still nasty. It snowed again last night and today. Lovely bigh wet heavy flakes. Add in a wind and thawing temps during the day, with freezing temps at night. Makes for quite the lovely drive to work.

Speaking of which, sucked. I was totally wiped by quitting time. I was so glad T* didn't come around with her little clip board to con, er, um ask me to work overtime. I put in an extra 4 hours on Saturday. I do have some life, though it isn't much right now.

Also had Warren's IEP meeting today. Odd meeting. It was much better than I was anticpating {thank God, I totally forgot my Ativan}, but not nearly so good as I would have liked it to have been.

In a nutshell he is pulling himself up and improving, but still has a long road to travel. He is pulling up his math grade, which was in the toilet do to lack of work, not quality of work. I will have another short pass with him on Thursday, and if that goes well, than a longer pass on Sunday.

Did I mention he is now "officially" 6 feet tall? Did I mention he won't even been 15 for another 4 months? Did I mention I now feel incredibly short and old. Especially since he has taken to calling me Grandma. Little monster, or should I say big monster.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
