Kind of a blah gray day. I don't mean just the weather, although that seems to reflect the mood of the moment.

I rec'd my package from my mom and my brother, but instead of being excited I was just kind of let down.

Maybe its just the realization that I'm going to be 38 on the 10th. It didn't bother me earlier, but now for some reason I seem to be feeling my age a bit more.

Things are still ridicoulus with Warren. We haven't heard anything back from Bismarck on the other funding for Fergus, and now the people in DBGR who wouldn't take him are suddenly interested and came to interview him. From what Warren said it sounds like now they are intersted.

I rec'd a phone call back from one of Hoeven's staffers. I emailed her and left a vm, but no response. Yesterday I came home to find a message from Conrad's office. I wonder?? It also probably helps that I never throw anything out, and thus was able to produce paperwork from Warren's ER visits re: his BAC that somehow escaped Meritcare's files.

I just realized that that the person who saved a bunch of people from some armed nutcase in Las Vegas a few weeks back, ws my high school biology teacher's son. I don't know him as he was pretty little when I moved away (my home town is only 1500), but I remember watching his dad shop while carrying him. I remmeber when his parents got married (mainly because his mother's maiden name is rather funny, but no I won't publisize it). Suddnely I feel really old and like I've done nothing. I mean somebody I remember as a toddler is now back from two tours, with medals and did something heroic like that. What the Fuck!?!?!

I guess tonight I"m just going to make a big bowl of popcorn adn get nostalgic. I am a true child of the 70's. So watching an old cheesy live action Saturday morning show should be good for some laughs. (it even has commentary. Who knew Jason went on to be a Gorton's fisherman!?!). maybe I should look for Isis and Shazaam and Tarzan and my other old favorites, and some really obscure titles like Swiss Family Robinson (a canadian tv serial, based very loosely on the book, sort of a shipwrecked Little House on the Prairie), or Space 1999 or StarLost another very obscure and I think Canadian title (with Keir Dullea and one of the writers from the original Star Trek).

I'm hopeless.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
