Good vs. Bad .... Good is winning

Somes days I feel like the universe is setting me up for some kind of joke, or at least the punch line.

I can't decide if things are good or bad right now. If I had to pick I'd say the good is currently outrunning the bad.

Good things: I am being published

I won a bicylce from Metro Area Transit (local public bus), from the Customer Service week drawing. I am going down to claim it tommorrow. If I remember right, its a gift card where I can pick out the bike I want with in certain $$. If so, I am hoping I can hold off with it until I can give it to Warren for Christmas. If not, someone will be mighty suprised when he gets home from school.

Mike is no longer able to come near me

Warren seems to be having a much better attitude lately. He hasn't gone Stepford child on me, but he is starting to loose the too cool for rules gig, at least somewhat.

I got into a cab yesterday since Fargo has no Sunday bus service and in talking to the cab driver discovered it was **** **** from my home town. He was about 8 or so years older than me, so we didn't really know each other than, but his younger (much younger, as their dad like to remarry progressivly younger women) brother and sister rode the bus and were close in age to my brother. This is a guy who did two years for the world's stupidest extortion scheme ever, I mean it was a town joke for years. (He was only part of it, his step uncle was the instigator). But now he is married, has three kids, owns a farm and is doing quite good. He has totally turned his life around, and was quite cool to talk to. I know the Universe sent him into my life for a reason. If this guy can turn his life around and do well, I know there is hope for Warren.

I can't remember the last time my home was this clean.

I had several customers compliment me at work today. I did an amazing amount of work and was totally on top all day.

Bad things My computer totally went nutjob on me at work, and just when I got set up at a new computer, it turned out to be a dummy terminal that also went nutso on me, in the middle of a customer

Warren still thinks shock humor and annoying the hell out of mom is funny

Mike's poor choices and bad behavior are huring Warren

I'm still poor

I'm dreading when Warren's grades arrive

I can't show a lot of people in real life my page in the book, because I don't want to out my page

The odd's of me ever collecting child support are only slightly better than the odds of a female Jewish Pope being elected.

Some weird shit on the bottom of my watch, has given me a strange mini rash on my wrist.

Right now I think good is winning.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
