September 11, 2006:
May someday people stop killing each other in the name of God.

May people stop confusing patriotism with blind allegience

May people stop judging, and get to know somebody before forming an opinion based on things that don't matter like clothing, income, race, religion (or choice to not have), gender, sexual orientation, to name a few. And to stop imposing our beliefs on others.

May we someday find a cure for hate.

May we never forget.

Today was such a cold, chicken soupy kind of day. The calender may say it is still summer for a couple more weeks, but the weather in ND, doesn't read calanders. I love fall weather. I don't however love the sneezing that goes with it.

Since it is such a chicken soupy kind of day, I had to make kneopfla. I finally found a great recipe that is simple, tasty and not loaded with calories. I think on the next batch I will use less celery and a few more dumplings (I cheat, an buy frozen dumplings). I can't compete with the ladies of Kroll's (local place), but I think I make a pretty good one. Quite filling and warming. (If you want the recipe just ask, it taste's complicated, it is really very simple).

I also learned another lesson today. People who have been off all caffiene for almost 6 months really need to be careful when brewing tea. I made some of the Oolong I was sent by Kasora (see link on left,or click on Oolong). The part of my brain that remembers details, like which food/beverage items contain caffiene, was on vacation. The cup was quite delicious. Especially with a little sugar. If you haven't had Oolong, it is kind of hard to describe. Almost bitter and sweet at the same time. Very ASian. But holy cow. With in a few minutes I was suddenly firing full force on all cylinders, quite rapidly. (*Yes I restrained from a second cup).

I was quite productive at work, at least until it wore down. I was still quite productive, but sure had to work harder at it. If I had to be ON, I guess today was a good day. We were beyond busy. I probably took 150 or more calls, and had to key in mail orders. I also think I may have put a bit too much in. I didn't realize how much bigger that stuff, got when it brewed in the water. I was quite the happy hyper little employee. I just hope nobody comes to expect that everyday, or they'll be sorely dissapointed.

Its qutie a good tea, but I think next time I'll make it much weaker. It's quite the tasty tea. I bet it would be great as a breakfast tea. Man I love getting free stuff on the 'net.

I can't wait to try the other teas. That reminds me. I'm almost out of Rooibos. Time to place another order. Maybe I'll get some fruit medley too, while I can still afford it. Hot tea weather is definately here.

But for now. I'm ready for beddy

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
