Loving my new orange arm band

Moving in is done, let the unpacking fun begin.

Cleaning the old place out turned in to a nightmare. If you remmber I've mentioned previously about the idiot ex's tendencies towards hoarding. I had no idea how bad it was. I had told him he could put a few things in the crawl space underneath, um yeah. If a pile of stuff big enough to fill a trailer is a few things. The landlord was pissed and so was I. It took 2.5 hours for a train of 5 people to get all the crap out of there. I don't even want to talk about the shed I let him use. The man cannot throw away anything he see's as having value, even if it cost money to store it, and he has so many he can't remember what or where he has it. But this doens't stop him from crusing Blvds, espcially during cleanup week to collect more crap.

The hole Warren left in the wall is more like total drywall replacement. I wish he hadn't had his bed in front of it, so I could have taken care of it earlier. Somethings I agree with the landlord on, but others I think they are being a bit too anal about. The place was clean when I moved in, but hardly in A-1 condition.

In stranger news, my blood pressure seems to be doing wonky things. I had it checked by a nurse at the mall this morning (the clinic offers it twice a month to mall walkers) and it was prehypertensive at 132/81. A few hours later this afternoon, when I was being checked out for blood donation, it had dropped to 120/80. What the heck?? I hadn't had any salt this morning. I hadn't even had breakfast yet, only some water as I had over slept and was planing to eat at work. (I keep emergency stores for just such a case). I also had a fairly low salt day before, though the organic burrito I had for lunch may have had some salt. Maybe it was the 3 liters of water? or the vitamins? or the fiber? who knows.

After donating I skipped the glorified candy they offered and went back inside for my favorite grapenuts with strawberries and milk. I felt fine, I drank another liter of water, but now I'm starting to feel a little on the woozy side. Hopefully it will pass soon. Maybe once I get some dinner in me I'll feel better. Meanwhile I have this lovely orange elastic on my arm. It is truly a fashion statement.

I'm still behind on my diary reading. So if anybody has had a major life event that I've missed, let me apologize now. I'm still figuring out if I'm comming or going.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
