Had my date with Johnny and Orlando today (yes my son was there too oh and did I mention I was also a big LOTR fan - geek girl here at your service). We rode bike to the theatre, which is probably 2 or 3 miles away. It was definatly worth it I think the first one was funnier, but this one did have some great moments, especially the sword fight. I think it went on a bit long and I was peeved at how the ended it (thankfully I already knew they filmed part 3 at the same time due out next year), with such a cliffhanger, and it did drag a bit, but it was still a good time. A little heavier on the violence, so I definately would be leary about taking anyone under 8-10 years old.

But the seats seem to have gotten bigger and the rows are farther apart. Used to be when I went to a movie I would have to walk sideways as I couldnt' fit between the rows and the seats would hold me, but they would be pinching my legs on either side. Now I can walk normally and there is ample room on either side when I sit down. I looked at it in amazement, is there that much of me gone, poof, burned in a biochemical furnace that is me. Wow!! It was all I could do not to jump up and celebrate, except that the theatre was full and I didn't want everyone to think I'd lost my mind. We even skipped the consession stand. I sure wanted the popcorn, but at 55 calories a cup, with even a small being I"m sure ten or more cups, it just wasnt' worth it. Even my son wasn't intersted, which blew me away. (I guess riding bike and stopping to eat before the movie so we were full made a difference. So did a high fiber breakfast).

I could keep up with my son on the bike (mostly), I was able to ride for an hour and not be dragging and when I came home I still had energy. I even stopped the way home to buy some groceries. I felt so good I didn't even think about buying crappy food. (for once)

Instead I bought, raspberries, cherries, peaches, apples, baby spinach, ground turkey, whole wheat bread, water, extra sharp cheddar (my son's favorite), frosted mini wheats, mini raviolis for my son, Hormel Naturals oven roasted turkey breast for sandwiches, and cucumber. (I had to carry this on my bikes, so I was a bit limited)

I went over on my sodium the last couple of days, but hopefully all the water I've been downing will flush it out. Last year at this time, I had swollen legs from salt retention and would have been lucky to ride my bike for 10 minutes. I just wanted to brag as I'm so happy with the progress I've made and may need to come back and read this entry when my next bout of the "poor -mes" comes around to chat.

I only had 1580 calories today and about 32 g of fiber. I'm not even hungry, though I do have a bit of cherry craving. It certainly wouldn't hurt me to eat any more cherries, but I'm not physically hungry so I'm not giving in. My body needs to learn to only eat when I'm physcially hungry, not just cause I've got a craving or some emotional need.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
