Well it's almost official. Tommorrow is mother - son adventure day.

I have the directions from Map Quest. I'm looking thru some of the things we can do, and mentally planning the trip (okay outlining would be more appropriate). I'm not a big fan of microplanning. I'm more of a plan all the majors, and let the minors take care of themselves kind of person.

This trip will blow my budget for some time, but its worth a week of bread and pasta to give my son an adventure for his birthday. I've only drivin in the cities once before and that was at 5am. This time if things go as planned, we may be hitting it around 11:30 -12:00. We are planning to go and come back the same day to save the cost of a motel room. It isn't as though we have school or work to get up for. (I'm off until Monday).

Since I seem to be a collector of MN friend for some reason (maybe my grandmother who was born in Albert Lea passed on some sort of MN gene), maybe you could give me any suggestions or ideas. I know there is no way we will be able to do or see everything, but I want to see the high points and hopefully get some pictures (if there are no pictures allowed like Wasted Acres, I will hurt someone).

Depending on when we get back, I'll try to update with all the gory details tommorow.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
