Operation countdown to 40

Why do clothing manufacturers assume that if you have a big booty, you must also have a big middle? Believe it or not it is possible to have too much junk in your trunk (and thighs) and still have a small (by comparison)waist. I'm sick of pants that are either too tight one the bum but fine on the waist, or fit my lower half, but have enough room left in the waist to tuck in two or three heavy sweaters, and heaven help if I don't wear low rise underwear, everyone will know I wore Sunday panties on Thursday. (c'mon I couldn't have been the only girl who used to have day of the week panties, and didn't always wear the right one on the right day).

It is sunny and calm and over 70 degrees here. Its like early summer. I love it. Good by stupid coats. Of course this being ND as soon as it got over 45 every body dug out thier summer where.

I also took another step in what I've come to term as "Operation count down to 40". I rode my bike down to the local salon. I haven't been there before, but Warren got his hair cut there and they were really nice. The lady that waited on me was very sweet. They didn't have an opening until 1pm, which is just as well as it will give me sometime to think about things, instead of making a rash choice I may regret later.

My normal stylist (okay she's not techinally MY stylist, but I like how that sounds, I've gone to her for almost 15 years), is on the other side of town, so without a car its a bit more of a trip than I care to deal with today. I need someone close by, who is reasonable and talented. I also want something totally different, not "who the heck are you" different, but "WOW what did you do with your hair" different. Something not a variation on the same theme I've had since I was 12. She mentioned color, but I'm not sure I can afford that right now. I'm not sure if I want it or not. I look good with a nice medium mahagony/rosewood shade but I've had that before. I also have some cool, interesting silver streaks happening. I should have know there was a reason my mom started coloring her hair regularly before I was old enough to read the box. Too bad I don't have a (working)digicam, I'd love to post pics and get some feedback.

The weight lost phase of OCDTF, seems to have hit a plateu. I've only lost about 1 pound in the last week, though I know much of the weight last time I weighed my self was water as I had drank over 2 liters that day, and I'm sure not all of it has passed on thru.

I've also noticed since I ditched the soda/caffiene and the other junk I actually have more energy, calmer energy than when I was chemically speeding things up. I also havne't had a headache in two months, whereas I used to have them almost every day. Who knew oatmeal would feel so much better in the morning (long run) than a shot of Dew and some grease on an English muffin. Even if the latter may taste a bit better (not anymore) and give me more of an instant zoom, it just never lasted.

Here's to the next three years (and a few months)!!

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
