Shower to shower each day...

I was driving my son out to buy some fireworks, because (insert semi-sarcasm)you just can't celeberate the 4th of July with out blowing shit up (end semi sarcasm), when both Warren and I did a double take, ahead of us was this guy. Now remember this is North Dakota, we are at least 1000 miles from the nearest ocean, so any seafood purchased in this state has to have been shipped in, either by freezer truck, or plane. I'm sure this guy is totally legitimate and runs a good operation but I just can't see myself running to buy shrimp and scallops from somebody calling himself the Dead Fish Guy. But than maybe that's just me.

Twelve year old boys are an interesting breed. When Warren was little getting him out of the tub was a battle, not getting him in. Now he has taken to viewing showers as some sort of chore to be avoided. Today I had finally had enough, and brought up the idea of getting some body wash and shampoo, and so on that smell more guy like and no so girly. Praise be, he went for it. I can't say I'm crazy about the scent he picked out, but if it gets him to shower I'm all for it.It's not a bad scent, quite good actually, just rather strong. But he took a shower voluntarily and smells much better. Apparently the stuff I buy smells to flowery and fruity for him. Though I wasn't aware that Irish Spring smelled girly. Go figure.

Tonight we had lasanga and garlic bread, between it and the shower stuff, my house smells like my first date with Mike, minus the beer and cigarettes.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
