Okay sometimes I am a real idiot. I had a long entry typed up then I hit a wrong key and deleted the whole damn thing. IE really needs to add an undo the last undo feature.

Last night after a fight about the damn dishes (yet again) Warren fell asleep at 6pm and didn't wake up until 7pm this morning. He at 7 packets of oatmeal and a bannana so I wasn't worried about him being sick. His temperature was also normal. But he napped after school yesterday, and the day before. Hopefully its just recovery from being up all night Friday and bit late on Saturday. I don't know why he didn't sleep much Sunday other than he said he had a headache. Most likely he is just recovering and catching up, (and the cold makes it worse) but it is a mother's perogotive to worry about everything.

Since it was so cold out today, I also decided to try making a cake. I have no idea where I went wrong, but instead of a lovely chocolate rectangle, I wound up with Cake Mountain. For some reason I am not good with cakes. Occassionally I get them to come out right, but usually I end up with something that looks like a topographical map of the Badlands, minus the trees.

So does anybody else have certain recipies or food items they just can't seem to cook? I am a whiz with cookies, or most desserts not involving pastry, but cakes just elude me. But I'm sure it will taste just fine, especially with chocolate almond frosting. My banana bread must have been great as Warren has devored over half of it, and it is only a day old.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
