Apparently mac and cheese and a little chill time work wonders. Despite a really ugly morning, Warren turned his day around and had a great afternoon at school. I'm so proud of him. So of course we had to eat out to celebrate. Which is just as well as he had his school program tonight. I couldn't find the film I bought for Valley Con and never used, so I have no pictures, but they did a really great job. This year the program was an American/Flag/Veteran salute. Eighty some odd Fourth Graders singing "Its a grand old Flag..." and other patriotic songs..

He was a bit cranky tonight, but not too bad. I think he was tired and stressed. I got thru his science with him, but he still has his math to do. But by 8pm he was tired. He took his bath and then was ready for bed. He fell asleep by 9pm listening to Douglas Adams read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. (Gotta love the public library..)

I'm still feeling stressed, but I am so much better than I was earlier today. The turn around had a lot to do with it, so does the Tegretol. Better living through modern pharmecuticals. I also spent a few hours at the local public library, using the computer and then checked out a bunch of books, including several Terry Brooks books (say that ten times fast), so I can be totally caught up by next Valley Con in October (shhh you didn't hear that from me), and the librarian was thrilled when I let that bit of news slip. I can't believe I also found a copy of Sympathy for the Devil by Holly Lisle. I'm only the second one to check it out, these people have no idea what they are missing. I love that woman's work. So all total I am reading about 5 books right now. I would read more, but that nasty go to work, make a living, take care of my kid, clean the house thing keeps interfering in my reading time.

Tommorrow is payday.. huzzah.... grocery time... time to eat something that isn't mac and cheese, ramen noodles, or some semi edible hotdish concoction I thru together.. And my son volunteer to clean the house and do everything but polish my shoes in exchange for a Kyba (sp?? Yu Gi Oh) deck or a Pegasus deck.. Hey if it gets me a clean house, and makes him happy.. lets see how well he sticks to his end of the deal..

Thank you for the kind words..I really really apreciate it.

Time for me to go to sleep and say a prayer for VaderGirl's nephew... If you want to leave a note for her, you'll need to go to her profile as she has no guestbook.

On a happier note, I realized things couldn't be all bad, when I got up from the chair at Warren's program shortly after we got there, and noticed that something felt strange on my butt. I felt behind me, only to discover I have been walking around my son's school with a sticker on my ass that says "Shake well before using". Its a good thing I have a sense of humor.. Too bad nobody else had a clue why I was laughing so loud...

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
