Pinewood Derby is tommorrow

Just a quickie tonight. Warren is over at Mikes putting the finishing touches on his Pinewood car. Wish us luck tommorrow. While he was there I made a trip to Target. I picked up some assorted snacks and so such, then I discovered there is nothing like motherhood to cause a self proclaimed anti-martha to suddenly find herself smack in the middle of the sewing aisle trying to figure out which needle, thread and other assorted unidentified products she needs to make sure her sons scout uniform is right, and that she can fix the hems on his too long pants.

On the good news front, I found out I am getting another raise at work effective immediately. Actually pretty much everyone is getting a raise, as they are chaning the whole raise schedule according to some complex formula having something to do with the phases of the moon, and the mood of our Presidents cat. Well there's more too it, but that is about how much sense it makes. However because, and I am para-quoting here, I have such a great work ethic and am such a delightful employee I am getting one of the higher raises, and mine isn't spread out over the whole period. I am getting a full $.37 per hour raise. Super-de-duper!!

I need to go pick Warren up shortly, then I need to work on his uniform and make sure it is all ready to go, and that my camera's (I am taking both digital and film) are ready to go. I have to get up early so I can make my potluck cheesy tators. (I didn't feel like making a special grocery trip to the land of crack head bag boys, so I am going with something I have all the stuff for), and have them warm and in my crock pot before we leave. The Derby starts at 11 am. Send us all your best wishes.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
