Winter is comming

I should say it has over stayed its welcome which wasn't that great to begin with. ND never did operate by the calender when it comes to weather.

I never thought I'd be happy to be wearing biofocals, but I am. I can once again enjoy being a bibliofile. I quit reading very much when my eyes started having a hard time reading anything in a normal size of most books and magazines with out getting headaches and the print going blurry. Even now tiny print is almost impossible.

Now that I can finally read, I've started to enjoy it again. Right now I've started the Game of Thrones series. Normally I'm not a big fan of fantasy as most of it seems to either be like Lord of the Rings or Dungeons and Dragons neither of which I was a huge fan. I liked LOTR okay, but while I like a heroes journey as much as the next sci fi/action/fantasy fan, sometimes I want something with more character, more intrique and a more adult story line. So far I must love it, I've started calling Oreo (cat) Arya.She reminds me a bit of my self at that age or at least how I wanted to be.

Besides, good looking men on horses with swords, what's not to love, even if the sex (especially in the HBO show) does push the boundries of NC-17. I can get past it.

Same with Vikings. It's based on the ancient sagas of my dad's ancestery. Although the tv show has mixed fact, myth and creative license. It's still a great show, better than those stupid Kardishifools or any of the other reality people who are only famous for being famous. Blech!!

It also takes my mind off of things and gives me a place to go to that's not where I am. Reality kind of bites right now, but I keep reminding myself it could be a lot worse.

I have my son a fairly nice place to live, a good job with benefits, a few nice toys, my mom and brother, and the world's coolest tuxedo cat. I also have many cool froods I count as friends. If I tried to name them all I know I'd leave someone off, but you know who you are, because for one you're reading this. That's more than many people have,

I actually started this entry this morning but work has been crazy insane so I'm actually just posting it now, almost 2 hours after I was supposed to be done. It's a living.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
