I HATE this weather. I am missing work again as the busses and school is running 2 hours behind. I am watching the news very closely in case it changes. We have another employee who lives out of town. I am thinking he may or may not be able to make it in. The wind just sounds crazy here. Many area schools outside of the FM area are closed today. If it doesn't improve big by tonight, I am definately NOT going to cubscouts. Warren is soo mad now, because he see's this as putting a seriuos crimp in his Halloween plans. If it doesnt warm up, I am thinking we may have to skip the Trick or treats and just go to a nice warm party. This is the earliest snow storm I can remember in a ages. The last time I remember snow on Halloween was maybe back in high school. Last year at this time it was light jacket/sweatshirt weather. This year it looks like the middle of December, not the end of October. I like it cool, but this I hate. I need to make a living dammit.

I guess I should feel lucky. Warren and I are nice and warm and safe. We have plenty to eat (though I maybe soon facing a serious Mt Dew shortage). and it is toasty in here. My car is in the garage, and my cats are curled up on the bed snoozing, oblivious to it all. Warren really needs new winter boots, but after work yesterday I took one look at the weather, and how I felt and all I wanted was to get home and stay home.

I don't know what it is about this weather but it always brings out the Martha Stewart in me. I have been just baking up a storm lately. (sorry bad pun). The other day I made Chocolate muffins in he morning. Warren was in Heaven. Needless to say the barely lasted 24 hours. Last night I made blueberry muffins, which are almost gone. This morning I was actually up making pankakes. I guess snow and cold has something that triggers my carbo cravings big time. Must have to do with my Northern European anscestors (Norwegian, Swedish and German) needing to keep warm back in the ancient days or something.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
