January KittyCollabIf you were a cat, how would you most want to spend your days? Would you want to be a fat, lazy house-cat, a wild, cunning barn-cat, or something in-between?

If I were a cat, I would definately be a good old mama barn kitty. We had several of these on the farm where I grew up. They were tame and loved as all heck, yet they also had the freedom to come and go as they wanted. They were excellent mousers, and excellent mothers who would stand up against the toughest dogs, or tomcats to protect their litter. I would be free and independant. I would be a mama, and still be the spoiled beloved pet of the peeople whose barn I kept mouse free. That way I would have the advantage of being a almost feral cat and all the freedoms that go with it, yet I would also have a nice warm place to sleep and plenty to eat. I would have some one to love me and take care of me, but whenever I felt like it I would be free to leave for however long I wanted. I would come back and be welcomed with open arms. I could leave a few mouse corpes on the doorstep and be rewarded with a nice saucer of milk or a dish of kitty delight. All in all it would make a pretty good life. At least till I got run over by a car, or met a badger with a bad attitude, but hey that is the risk one takes when they become a barn kitty.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
