Just when you least expect it
Christmas went remarkably well. Mike was even behaving like a human being, which is totally out of character for him.
We waited until the last minute, but were very lucky in finding a place to stay. Due to the popularity of hunting in the north and western parts of the state, there are many people who rent out hunting cabins (basically just really small, yet remarkably nice house, for very little. Most are less than a decent motel). So we lucked out. The heat sucked, but it was warm enough, and quite comfy. All the amenties of home, minus the well stocked fridge. We only needed a place to sleep anyway.
For Xmas dinner they had a surf and turf spread. Being a vegetarian, I enjoyed neither. How ever they did have baked potatos (have I mentioned my addiction to 'taters) and a very nice salad bar, steams broccoli/califlower, and other veggie items. I also went way to happy with the treats. I don't even wanna talk about the weight I've gained back recently. My 10's are getting tight, but fortunately my 12's are still loose and comfy and a little bit big. I need to hope back on wagon instead of just riding on the rear bumper holding on with white knuckles.
Yesterday I did a mini fast/cleanse of sorts and followed that up with a super healthy dinner. Today I am also doing a super healthy day, and I started working out again. I had kind of lost my mojo in that area, but with any luck I can find it again. I need to lay off of all animal products and do the totally vegan (well, okay I have had some honey) thing for awhile to get my body back to where it was. Than I can start adding the eggs back.
In the Warren department, he seems to have learned a lesson or two, but who knows how long it will stick. He looks good and behaved quite well. We spent a lot of the day playing casino, which was nice, and beat the heck out of watching the tube. The other people there were also very nice, and there weren't many left over the holiday, so it was nice and low key.
I wouldn't mind spending some time there myself, the place is almost more moderate end country club, than rehab. They have rules and requirements, but they are fairly loose and they have way more freedoms than in many other places. Though Warren still claims to be bored. (natch).
Yesterday was spent running errands and restocking the fridge, which I let get empty since we were going to be gone for the holidays.
Today I am doing a few small things, and will probably stop by Kohls to see if they have anything on sale, since my Aunt (my Dad's sister) sent Warren and I a couple of very nice gift cards for there). I have no idea what I want, I don't really need anything, but I might find a good deal on something.
Thanks for being there for me all year, as its has been a helluva ride this year.

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.
I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.
I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
