9th grade already!?!?

My baby is starting 9th grade in two weeks. I can't believe I am old enough to be the mom of a high schooler. How'd he grow up so fast.

Somehow I'm not suprised that his top two choices for electives were driver's ed and construction (they don't have auto shop until 10th grade I think). I was suprised to see that after keyboarding he also listed Spanish. Art didn't suprise me so much. He doesn't get all the electives but they try to go for your first choice, and if that isn't available than 2nd and so on. They use block scheduling instead of the tradiional high school model (9th grade is a separate school from 10-12, as that school was getting crowded so they built a new one. Dont' get me started).

Today or tommorrow we should have his schedule.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. To answer some questions. I'm not a total vegan as I do eat eggs, but only the organic free range eggs, I will not support chickens in cages. Those eggs are nasty anyway. Try a farm fresh egg, with a nice bright yellow yolk, you'll never go back. I don't do any dairy, honey, meat or fish. However I'm not totally militiant and will on occasion enjoy a piece of cake or other treat, but not daily or even weekly.

Since dropping the dairy I've noticed my allergies are way better than before, They improved alot when I stopped the meat/poultry, but when I dropped dairy I really noticed a difference. They aren't completely gone, but hugely less bothersome. I also sneeze way less. I used to machine gun on a regular basis, now I rarely do unless the pollen/mold counts are high.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
