This is gonna be a quick entry as I have to run soon, to get to pilates.

We had a blast this weekened. It all went by so fast thought.

Saturday I worked in some overtime, than had to run home and throw on my food for the Veg potluck. I should have planned ahead and had it in the crockpot that morning but whatever.

After that I was ready to crash. Sunday was Warrenday. And he had a blast.

Brian {a friend of mike's}, let us use his snowmobile. I snowmobiled all the time as a kid, but it has been over 20 years since I rode on one, and my 38 year old body was happy to remind me of this fact.

I let Warren do all the driving, though he offered to let me drive. He was having such a blast, I was thrilled just watching him have fun. It sure brought back a lot of good childhood memories.

So did riding on the back with him. That kid is a good, if not somewhat over confidant driver. When he gets a license I will probably stop sleeping.

But riding on teh back was awesome. I forgot how free it feels to zip over the snowdrifts at 50mph or faster, especially when you hit a few bumps and take air. I kept having to grab my hat as it wanted to fly off. {note to self: next time dress better}, but it was awesome, especially when you hit a bunp big enough to take air. Yahooooo....

My back and quads are paying for it now. I thought working out yesterday would help not be so stiff. I"m not stiff, but I"m still in some minor pain here. But not so much pain I don't wan to go back. I felt so young and alive when I was on that snowmobile. Next time I will drive and show Warren a few things. Its been a long time, but it all comes back to you quickly. Like riding a bike, what your mind can't remember your body still does. I'll give him some air to remember. {as much as one can on a little 440}

It was a perfect day weatherwise, despite being a bit windy inthe open areas.

The best part though was seeing my son's totally thrilled face, and doing something together that didn't involve the idiot box.

Now I'll need the week to recover.

off to pilates

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
