Heat wave comming thru. It was warmed up to -8 when I left work tonight. Which doesn't sound warm, unless compared to the -29 that was to greet me this morning, or the -50 windchill I came home in last night. Tommorrow we might actually clear the postive number and by this weekend we may approach the double digit positive temps. And you thought it was cold where you lived (unless of course you are in northern AK, or Canada, or Siberia).

Had both Warren's team meeting and his parent/teacher conferences today. Its so nice to have one of those meetings and not hear about all the crap your kid has done. I'm so proud of Warren, but leary of getting do comfortable. I've sailed this river before and sometimes those damn rapids show up out of nowhere and really muck up the journey. But here's hoping. Never underestimate the power of future driving privledges on a teenage car nut.

Sometimes my customers are a real head scratcher. Yesterday I had an old lady (who may have been needing her meds, judging by some of the notes on her orders) who claimed we had shorted her a bottle on one item. (which sometimes happens with as many orders as we process (a few thousand a day), but the last time she ordered this particular item was in July. I am pretty sure most people would notice somethign like that fairly soon after recieiving the order, not 7 months later.

"But I went to get it and it isn't there? I'm gonna place a big order soon"

On the other hand I had a really nice converstation with a lady named Frankensteen. I'm pretty sure she didn't have any bolts in her head.

I think its gonna be a relaxing night. I don't have to work tommorrow, and I discovered season one of Beauty and the Beast out on DVD (I love my local library). I can't be the only one who remembers that show, with Linda Hamilton (of Terminator fame) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy, and others}. I used to watch it every week in high school, well until Linda left to go to T2 and it started getting stupid.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
