Looks like the Oscar for best imitation of a civilized human goes to The Idiot for having the decency to behave himself, well mostly. He still keeps trying to push all the old buttons, but I've learned how to disconnect those buttons, or at least resist the urge to respond according to old programming.

Tonight they had a Christmas party/dinner at DBGR for the kids. Is there nothing so parental as watching kids sing off key, and put on silly skits, while eating too much and sending one's pancreas in to insulin overdrive. Despite enough cheese {in the show, not the buffet} to fill a French cave, it was a good time, and the food was actually very good, and filling. Anybody who serves krumkake {Scandavaian treat, sort of like a crepe only crispy}, rosettes, toffe, peanut brittle, assorted cookies, and enough chocolate to make Montezuma jealous, is okay by me.

It was also the only time I've ever seen my overly outspoken son, actually have a bit of stage fright. hehe..

Oh the worst part, my son is getting fuzzier every time I see him. He's not ready for a trip to Braun-town just yet, but ah sweet milestones, he's definately on the final leg of that journey. You spend all your life taking care of these kids and sacrifiing for them, quite willingly. How do they pay you back? They grow up and make you feel old. What's a mother to do, but sit back and hope something she threw in his direction managed to stick.

Now if only the damn Marcus theatres would stop torturing me and show Sweeney Todd already. Don't they know how hard it is to have a new Johnny Depp movie out and not be able to see it. Like I can afford to go to Grand Forks or the Cities. I hope they all get Jock itch.

At least I have Will Smith. Tommorrow sounds like a great day to relax with a matinee of I am Legend. There are so many movies I want to see, but not enough time or money. I need some me time, and Will's never let me down yet.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
