Yes, believe it or not this is me next to my 14 year old son. I am 5'4", he is now 5'11", closer to 6ft, depending on who is measuring him. Hard to believe I used to carry him around in a snuggly. He had to be bribed into this photo, so that is why the dour face. I am also not a chunky as this photo makes me look, but since I'm so short next to Le Offspring, I also look more compacted.

This photo was taken at Island Park which is a well known park in downtown Fargo. It is a gorgeous place to go walking in the summer. I've always felt a little choked up when I look at this statue. Around the bottom of it, the statue is surround by bricks bearing the names of families who have lost a child {of any age}. Looking at some of the ages, and especially those with more than one child, it is quite heart breaking. There is a beautiful bench there, and in the summer there are gorgeous flowers which amazingly are still in the photo even though this was taken about a month before it snowed.

I finally gave in to temptation and bought my self a pair of size 8 pants. I do look good in them, and better yet I feel good in them. Two years ago this month I was a 26/28, 3xl. It has taken a lot of work, and cursing but I am now a 8/10, Medium. I have even amazed myself.

Things have been going so good lately I was ready to consider buying a lottery ticket, but then The Idiot got out of jail. Yes the system notified me. Too bad the letter arrived the day AFTER he was released. What else does one expect from beaurocracy in this state... **heavy sigh**

Que Cera Cera.. At least I have my pants, and my son.

Anybody want some nice -26F windchills? I'm not using them?

I also created an album here, but I'm not sure if the link will work. Walmart is rather wonky. Let me know if it works or not. If it doesn't, I'll figure something else out.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
