would ask that you keep Warren in your prayers. He has been accepted at a great place, and everybody loves it, except the stupid bean counters in Bismarck. We are hopping to prove it is the best place for him and nothing closer will take him, but I can use all the luck, prayers, vibes, prayer chains, chants, spells you got. I really want him in this program.

I am so sick of stupid politics. apparently there are some stupid issues going on that basically boil down to the left hand not giving a damn what the rest of the body thinks. I don't even understand the whole thing completely, even my case worker with DJS (dept Juv services) has never seen anything like it.

She got some screwy letter from Bismarck (home of the screwy (not you Wynspirit, just the folks in the tall building who spent too much time in the Monkey room)

The letter she got didn't even make sense, on one hand they are trying to say he doesn't need that level of care, and they refer to it as a hospital setting, which it isn't and then they go on to talk about something else, and trying for a group home or YCC(youth correctional center) which is a much higher form of care, more based on punishment than treatment (think prison for juvy's) which everyone but the Medicaid people agree isn't the correct placement.

I mean cripes we're talking a couple of stolen bikes, some stupid behavior and an alchohol problem that needs professional treatment, not strangling his sister (like the kid he has to share free time with).

The whole thing makes no sense. Everyone who knows and cares about Warren is in agreement and than some guy 150 miles away who knows nothing but some letters adn forms decides to fuck us all over. I"m sorry but my son isn't just some stack of papers, he is a child, MY child and dammit he's getting shafted.

If I'd know this was what was going to happen, I think I'd have tried to do something myself, though I have no idea how I'd pay for it.

We're all in agreement, its a wonderful place, they've accepted him, but ND Medicaid seems to have thier head screwed on backwards, Angie and her supervisor are doing the best they can, but they are baffled, I am pissed and my son is getting screwed.

I am thinking of writing to my senators or congressman, but I'm not sure if that would do any good or who I need to talk to, who could pull some strings without pissing of some red tape wrapper, and making things even more stupid than they already are.

I think Meat Loaf had the right idea

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
