It really needs to stop raining here. I know we need some moisture for the farmers and the lawns and so forth, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm beginning to forget what sunshine looks like.

This morning I looked out the window to see what Zippity was up to. (I have a squirrell who made my backyard his home. My neighbor even leaves him treats. Besides he's a hoot to watch). It seems Zippity has made a new friends. Yes folks it has rained so much the animals are starting to pair off. If a guy with a long white beard sails down the street in a giant boat, count me in.

I want my sun back. I'm tired of wet, and I can not any longer stand the color gray.

Yesterday was a better day, for me anyway. I managed to get in some much needed, but highly moist bike riding, even if it was only to the grocery store. At least it got me some exercise and out of the house. My crock pot stew came out excellent, and I managed to get the laundry caught up and have some time with Warren.

Speaking of the little monster, its amazing how a big tough teenager (almost) can be reduced to a little boy very quickly by a simple little virus. My boy finally found a virus that is stronger than he is. Yesterday he was not so well, until the Tylenol and Sambucol (black elderberry -awesome for the immune system) kicked in and he decided to try riding his bike in the rain. (yeah bad mommy, but he seemed to be feeling better and was getting cabin fever). Today he is feeling crappy again.

He says he feels really crappy and is sleeping in. I let him have a day off, and called him out of school. I took the day off, so I can play mommy nurse. He must be ill he just walked up the stairs and he's breathing like he ran a mile. Good thing I have lots of chicken soup on hand. I also bought some oranges yesterday (but no juice).

I also wanted to ask my readers a question totally unrelated to anything above. Yesterday I noticed the back of my head was sore and really itching, as were parts of the top of my head. To look at me, you couldn't tell anything other than by my scratching. I can't see any rash or redness or anything like that.

But it hurts, and seems to be even more sore when I shower and try to wash my hair. I've had my hair dyed many times (dozens), both professional and home kits. I've never had a reaction. Is it possible to suddenly react? Or are there more than one kind of professional dye bases, and could this be something new? Or maybe it's something totally different. I havent' said anything to her or seen a doctor as it is more annoying than anything else. It seems to be fading somewhat now. But now I'm concerned that if or when I touch it up it will react again. Has anybody else had problems with hair products?

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
