Just another day in the life of me

I've walked over 2 miles today, and I've dropped amazingly another 3 pounds, at least according to the scale at GNC.

So feeling great I did what any woman in my posistion would do, I went shopping. I wish I was rich, cause I would have made the sales girl at Lane Bryant quite happy. I'm not a big fan of all thier styles, but I love thier jeans I can wear 2 sizes smaller than when I last bought pants and these actually fit. I ended up not buying them, becausse even though they are huge, I couldn't justify buying new pants I will soon (hopefully) be too small to wear, when my son really needs new jeans. The wonders of motherhood.

I did however get a new bra. I also finally got measured and reassured that I was wearing the correct size. It is so nice to shop in a store that doesn't treat large women like we are some sort of lepers or something. So many clothing stores, its like "You're not a size 6, somebody get a cattle prod and chase this cow out of our store, she's blocking the sun". Its nice to get soft pretty, sexy bras, that fit and make me look good. I hate bras that look like contraptions. I wish I could have afforded to buy a bunch more. But I will give them some free advertising. Lane Bryant is the only place I will shop for my bras.

After that lovely experience, I was in such a good mood I treated myself to a full salad at Rising Bread Co., in the food court. Thier mandarin orange salad is to die for. With the dressing and olives, it was a bit heavy on the fat, but my two mile + hike burned most of that off, plus I can eat more carbs and protien tonight. I have some salmon and asparagus in the fridge just waiting for me. Add some whole grain bread and some fresh fruit and I am ready to go.

After eating at West Acres I walked to Walmart. It is so gorgeous out right now, people are actually starting to wear shorts and capris (nice by ND standards that is, probably rather chilly by CA/FL standards). I actually ditched my winter coat today. A hoodie jacket is all I need.

I got Warren some new pants, and a few other things, than walked down to SunMart where I picked up some groceries and called a ride home.

Warren is sleeping, or was when I got home. He had a couple friends over last night (seems to be a Friday night tradition) and they spent the night listening to music, playing video games, and eating pizza.

He did finally clean his room up, also. After I bribed him. Its not perfect, but it no longer looks like a dumpter exploded.

Time to head home and do some laundry, figure out dinner, and tidy up a bit. Than I can just relax, maybe.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
