Imagine my suprise when I come home, last night and notice a box sitting near the door. I didn't recognize it, but when I looked closer it was addressed to me. But I didn't see a return address (I didn't look very close as it turns out). I open it up and what do I find, but tea nirvana (at least for a herbal tea lover). A few days ago, some of you may remember my posting about a link to Adagio Teas. I had sort of forgotten about it. I knew they were giving out free samples in exhange for people linking to them, but I assumed I would just get a small package with a bit of tea for a few sample cups. I never in my wildest dreams imagined I would qualify for the motherlode, a really cool tea cup/brewer and 4 metal tins of heavenly smelling herb teas (peppermint- my and Warren's favorite, chamomile - excellent, fruit medly - smells great, and rooibos - sounds intriquing, I'm not familiar with it, but it smells great). Enough to make several dozen cups each, the way we make it (very weak compared to most).

Warren was excited just to open a package, and considering he has never drank tea before, but loves peppermint (or anything minty), couldn't wait for me to make some peppermint tea. Let's just say we drank quite a bit, as evidenced by the fact that I had to get up and pee, about 5 times last night. The chamomile also made for a great bedtime drink.

If you like tea, you have to check this site out, their teas are imported, and the prices and shipping are really reasonable. As soon as I use what I have I plan to order from them quite regularly, of course, if people keep clicking thru to them from me, maybe I can get more free tea. I'm not a fan of black or green teas, as they are too bitter for me (at least what I've had), but I adore many herbal teas, even when you aren't drinking them, they have a wondrous smell, and just make you feel so sophisticated and fancy, two words usually reserved for describing the opposite of me.

Tea time!!

Happy Early Birthday to me. Hope this didn't sound too much like a commercial, because it wasn't meant to be.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
