In my own mind at least:

I had promised myself I wasn't going to get political anymore, but I just couldn't resist this one.

Last night Warren and I went to see The Incredibles. Who new that in addtion to their funny animations , Pixar could also make an intelligent movie that works on both a kids and adults level, with out a single body function joke in sight. I've always loved Pixar's movies, but this was the first time I saw one that made you stop and think about it long after the movie, and one that wasn't one long joke fest. It was great animation, with intelligent dialogue. Some of the action might be a little intense for very sensitive younger (ie 5-6 or less) viewers, but otherwise I would recommend it for all ages. Both my son and I loved it.

The Star Wars teaser trailer which was the first trailer in our theatre (other's may vary) was alone worth the cost of admission. When I heard Ian's Emperor voice saying "Arise Lord Vader" and James Earl Jone's Vader voice responsed with "Yes my Lord" I got chills. Seeing Anakin with yellow eyes, Padme with Leia buns and finally getting a glimpse of the lava world we have been hearing about for over 25 years, I had goosebumps on my goosebumps. When I saw my beloved Ani looking evil as he was on top of Obi (The fight of all fights), I thought I was gonna scream like a giddy school school. Needless to say I couldn't wait to download it at home (albeit quasi-legally). I've seen it way too many times and evne have a screen capture on my desktop. Lets face I need help, but I'm having to much fun to seek it out. Hayden is so proving the fairweather fan bashers so wrong. I can't wait to see some of them (the one's not going in already determined to hate it) eat thier backward facing hats. Even if I will be in hysterical tears at the end, because well, watching a hottie like Anakin get turned into Darth Vader is gonna seriously mess with my head.

But shift is over so time for me to head home.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
