I bring you greetings from Planet Boy. Since today is my day off, I am home with Warren, which means the Posse (Alex, Andrew and now Trevor) are in an out. They are sweet kids, but they are also loud, boisterous, and decidedly male. This morning Warren and I made a soda run, and Andrew came along for the heck of it. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I opened the window for fresh air more than cool air. Apperently somebody is starting to discover uses for those items in his dad's side of the bathroom. Why is it when young kids first discover adult hygeine products they get rather over enthusiastic to the point where the cologne enters the room several minutes before they do. I mean is was nice and all, but just a bit much. They have been in and out all day. So far they finished off the thing of donut holes and the rest of the box of brownies. Right now I have my music turned up to cover the sound of theirs, as I am decidedly NOT a rap fan.

Did I mention, that Warren borrowed some money from his buddy Trevor to pay me back and then instead of paying anybody else back used his lawn money and a small loan from a friend to buy yet ANOTHER stereo from a friend down the road. Instead of putting them in his room, he has them set up in the living room. Two stereos hooked together with 7 speakes. Its like living on a sound stage. He never used to care about things like music or sound. Now he is all about the sound equipment and how this sounds better and what kind of speaker is that, and can I still take guitar lessons (man I hope so).

My Uncle (the one who was killed by a 19 year old drunk driver while in his own living room) played guitar, and I have another uncle who is a great (non professional) singer, so who knows maybe I've got a future Rock Star in my house, cause right now he is ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC.

All the speakers and the stereo equipment he set up and wired together himself, and it works great. He amazes me sometimes. I can't believe this is the same baby who used to scream if I would take him out of his Snugli ( a little front baby carrier I used for the first 6 months or so till he got too big for it).

Yesterday I threw together one of the greatest hotdishes I have made in a long time. Even Warren was raving about it. Now ask me if I can remember for the life of me, what all I put in it. Does anyone else pretend they are on cooking show when they are making stuff, or am I just strange? Okay never mind, I think I just answered my own question. Don't look at me like that.

Yes as you can see I did change my layout again. I loved the pictures of Warren, but he doesn't like me posting his picture. And frankly, the black and white was starting to get to me. Its a rather depressing combination. I decided to do somethign a bit more lively and bright. Let meknow how it looks. I had a heck of a time finding the right blues to go with the background. I'm still now sure how they look. I made the background myself, starting believe it or not with a picture of my ceiling and then doing some intersting things with color filters, cropping and layering. I still can't figure out why my tables are taking so long to load, or is it just my computer?

There is another job I want to apply for, but they only want in person apps, so that means I have to shower and put on my "nice" pants. I started my layout unintenionally last night about 9pm. Next thing I knew it was 2am. I do have a tendency to totally loose all time when I am doing computer stuff. At least the damn sun is shinging. Now if I can just get myself out of the house to actually see it, before it rains AGAIN.

I also need to get going on Warren's b'day party. It looks like it will be Warren, Chris, the Twinners, Cory and Nolan, Alex, Andrew, Trevor and Me. (If everyone can make it). Welcome to Planet Boy.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
