First of all I want to thank everyone here for all of your kindness. I truly love diaryland, you all are some of the greatest. If I haven't yet thanked you personally, forgive me, I will.

Warren was able to charm his way back into school, which already puts him way ahead of last year when he went into such meetings with a very bad attitude. He had a great afternoon on Thursday, but only after a very bad morning. (He was still suspended on Wed). And that was only after I swore up and down that there are NO guns in our house. (I won't allow it. I am very anti guns that are not hunting weapons. But that is for another time).

Speaking of kids, said monster is now trying to hypnotize me, into buying him an RC hummer, needless to say it is not working, but I give him an A for effort.

Teachers conferences went better than expected. Other than his reading levels which are improving, but which are still way behind, he is, as I've always known, and extremely intelligent boy. The kind who can skate by with A's and B's on grade level work with a minimal effort. Translation, he needs major work on his reading so we can bump up the difficutlty of his work a bit. He is also great with kids his own age, and (this comes from RB), when he wants to be a great manipulater/negotiator/scmoozer. He has no trouble sharing information and talking in class (another RB trait). But mornings are his hardest time, he often appears as though he isn't getting enough sleep, inspite of my making sure he is in bed between 9 and 10 pm everynight, soemtimes earlier. He is still extremely tired in the am, and it takes him until afternoon to be fully funtional. Of course he would have to inherit my nightowlness, of all things. So basically we are going to try and earlier bed time and if that still isn't working, maybe checking with a sleep specialist. Wouldn't that be the kicker, after all we have gone thru, to discover the whole problem is because he is not sleeping right. I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry.

I also need to go back to the derm about his rash, it is getting worse and spreading. I've cut out fabric softener and am exra rinsing his clothes, so I guess its time to get free of everything soap, and detergent. Poor kid.

We aren't totally out of the woods yet, there is still the possibiltiy of charges due to some of his actions that day. (no guns but he did hit somebody). Hopefully this three day weekend (no school again Friday because of teachers conf), he will be ready to start Monday with a better attitude. Let's hope.

In other news I have some sort of flu bug which has me talking like the bastard love child of Yoda and Kermit the frog, which is fitting because I am breathing like Big Bird and Mr. Snufflupagus are sitting on my chest. I hate flem.

But last night I did have one extra plus, if you have never tried Uno Chicago Pizzaria, you must. The Deep dish is the best pizza I have ever had, we are talking orgasm inducing pizza. Two slices and I was stuffed. Man, will they be getting more of my business. A definate ten out of ten peperoni's.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
