If you want to catch the big fish you have to willing to put on the big boy (girl) panties and swim out to the deep end
Brian O'Connor FF 6

I need to work on remembering this when I have to do things I don't want to, as the things I want are rarely going to just fall in my lap. I sometimes tend to procrastinate when it comes to things that need to be done, but I don't feel like doing. I even have it posted in my cube at work.

In other news, Warren and I are road tripping it to Mom's house. It's so long since we've been out of town, I'm looking forward to some time with my favorite fire headed Viking lookalike.

I've forgotten what a pain it is to get ready for a trip. I've got a list of things that need to get done (luckily cat sitter, plant waterer is all taken care of. Warren's friend's girlfriend's mom is doing it. She's also OCD about cleaning, as in wash the cup before you finish the coffee. So it should be interesting when we come back. I certainly don't expect any cleaning and would never ask, but some people can't help themselves).

I haven't packed or anything. I also wait until the last minute. Mom of course is thrilled but worried since she is in The Bakken (oil boom country, or as I like to call it Black gold rush country) so it will be a solid wall of trucks.

Warren's here so got to go.

Mini-Bio

In every neighborhood there is at least one house that all the neighbors gossip about. This is a diary from the woman who lives in that house. I am a single mother in her mid thirties. I live in North Dakota with my son, Warren.

I tend to be a bit of a slob, and am the opposite of a girly-girl. I am geek girl, who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Buffy, Angel, action movies, science fiction, action adventure, Dr. Who, and so on and so on.

I love to write and while I don't post much fiction online anymore I would love to be a writer someday. I am also overweight, bipolar and suffer from allergy induced asthma.
